Lil’ but Mighty Proudly Supports the HoneyKids Asia Spelling Bee 2026

At Lil’ but Mighty, we have always believed that language is more than just a school subject. It is a powerful tool that shapes confidence, communication, and a child’s ability to express ideas clearly.

That is why we were deeply honoured to come on board as a Supporting Partner and Sponsor for the HoneyKids Asia Spelling Bee 2026, a vibrant competition that brought together students from international schools across Singapore in celebration of language, learning, and courage.

Even more meaningfully, our founder, Mrs Lily Chew, had the privilege of serving as a judge for both the semi-finals and finals of the competition.

Celebrating More Than Just Correct Spelling

A spelling bee is often seen as a test of vocabulary and memory. Yet, anyone who has witnessed one firsthand knows it is so much more than that.

Behind every word spelt on stage is a child learning to manage pressure, think calmly under scrutiny, and step forward with confidence.

The HoneyKids Asia Spelling Bee created exactly this kind of environment. Students demonstrated not only strong language abilities, but also resilience, composure, and determination as they tackled increasingly challenging words round after round.

At Lil’ but Mighty, these are qualities we deeply value.

As an English enrichment centre specialising in primary and secondary English, we believe that strong communication skills are built through clarity, confidence, and consistent practice.

Competitions like these provide students with opportunities to grow beyond the classroom and discover what they are capable of.

Lily Chew’s Role as Judge

As a former MOE teacher and founder of Lil’ but Mighty, Mrs Lily Chew has spent years helping students strengthen their language skills through clear strategies and purposeful learning approaches.

Serving as a judge for the HoneyKids Asia Spelling Bee semi-finals and finals was therefore especially meaningful.

Throughout the competition, Lily witnessed students stepping up bravely onto the stage, encouraging one another, and demonstrating remarkable focus under pressure. It was a reminder that education is not merely about results, but about nurturing young people who are willing to try, learn, and grow.

Reflecting on the experience, Lily shared that she was deeply encouraged by the enthusiasm and courage displayed by the participants. Events like these play an important role in cultivating a love for language and helping children realise that learning English can be both rigorous and joyful.

Why This Partnership Matters to Us

At Lil’ but Mighty, we are passionate about supporting meaningful educational initiatives that align with our mission of helping students grow into confident communicators and thinkers.

We were proud to support the HoneyKids Asia Spelling Bee alongside other respected education brands and organisations that share a commitment to nurturing young learners in Singapore.

This partnership also comes at a particularly meaningful time for us, as Lil’ but Mighty was recently recognised as the Editor’s Choice for Best English Language Enrichment Centre 2026 by HoneyKids Asia.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow us to contribute to the wider education community and continue championing purposeful English learning.

A Mighty Congratulations

To every participant who took part in the HoneyKids Asia Spelling Bee 2026: well done.

Whether you walked away with a trophy or simply the experience of standing on stage and giving your best, you demonstrated courage and growth that deserve to be celebrated.

And to the organisers at HoneyKids Asia, thank you for creating a platform that brings together families, schools, and educators in such a meaningful way. We are proud to have been part of this exciting event and look forward to supporting future initiatives that inspire children to grow in confidence and communication.

Here’s to many more mighty milestones ahead. ✨
