P6 PSLE 2025 Day 1 Simulated Questions

PSLE 2025 Oral Day 1 & 2 SBC Topics!

And PSLE English has officially begun! Our mighty lil’ ones took their Oral examinations, and the stimulus for Day 1 was one that is close to heart – queueing up at an ice cream cart! From our students’ recount of PSLE 2025 Oral Day 1 & 2 SBC Topics, we are excited to share that the Reading Aloud passage and the questions tested for the Stimulus-Based Conversation (SBC) gave students a chance to talk about relatable, everyday experiences. Curious to know more about the Reading Aloud task and the full range of SBC questions? We have prepared a simulated practice for each day based on our students’ sharing so that you can get an accurate idea of what was tested.

Day 1: Queuing and Order

For many students, the ice cream cart scenario brought back memories of simple joys – waiting in line, deciding which flavour to choose, and chatting with friends. These personal connections often help students speak more confidently, as they can draw from real-life experiences to support their answers. In the Reading Aloud section, students were encouraged to read clearly with appropriate expression, paying attention to punctuation and tone to bring the passage to life.

The SBC questions prompted them to reflect on broader topics linked to the stimulus, such as queuing etiquette. Students wer further tested on their observations of our society and their evaluation. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase not only their fluency but also their ability to share personal opinions and elaborate on ideas.

Day 2:

Day 2 of the PSLE oral examination made it clear that this year’s format marks a significant shift in the way our children are being assessed. The questions went beyond simple comprehension, requiring students to think critically and connect with real-world scenarios. This evolution in the oral component, which now carries more weight, reflects a growing emphasis on developing confident, articulate communicators rather than just test-takers. It’s a challenging but exciting change, pushing our young ones to be more thoughtful and engaging in their responses.

P6 PSLE 2025 Day 2 Simulated Questions

The examination season has only just begun, and we know the journey can be nerve-wracking. Moving on from the PSLE 2025 Oral Day 1 & 2 SBC Topics, we want to encourage all our P6 students to keep their chins up and continue to persevere. You’ve faced the first hurdle with courage, and that in itself is a huge accomplishment. Take each paper one step at a time, and remember that every question is a chance to shine. Well done! You’ve got this, mighty ones – we believe in you!
