Breaking Down the O-Level Schedule by Components
- Oral Examinations
The oral segment is crucial for language subjects. These tests are spread across specific dates in July to ensure all students get a fair opportunity. - Listening Comprehension
Held later in the year, this component assesses auditory skills. The English Listening Comprehension is scheduled for 8 October 2025. - Practical Assessments
Science subjects include practical exams to test experimental skills. For instance, Chemistry practicals are slated for 1 October 2025, with multiple shifts to accommodate students. - Written Examinations
These form the bulk of the O Level schedule. From English papers on 16 October to Biology concluding on 10 November, the timetable ensures ample time between exams for focused revision.

O Level Schedule Insights: Marking Days and Results Release
Marking Days
Unlike the PSLE, the O Level examination schedule does not include marking days. This is because most exam scripts, except for Mother Tongue languages, are sent to Cambridge examiners for marking. While this means no break in the exam timeline for students, it does bring a sense of accomplishment when the final paper is completed. After months of dedication and effort, both students and parents can finally breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate the end of this important milestone!
