We first heard about Lil But Mighty during our elder son’s PSLE preparation, when we came across their last-minute oral and composition materials. We found the resources extremely helpful, so we decided to enrol our younger son in their P5 course. He joined the Tampines centre under Teacher Nellie, and we were very impressed with the programme. It covers all components—grammar, composition, and oral—very thoroughly. Lil But Mighty has supported us greatly throughout the year. Whenever my son received his English results, Teacher Nellie would ask to review his paper and provide detailed, personalised feedback. In one of the mock composition papers, my son had missed certain key points and did not understand what went wrong. Teacher Nellie personally explained what he had overlooked and guided him on how to improve. Because of her encouragement and clear guidance, he gained confidence and improved significantly. We are extremely happy to share that he achieved AL1 in English in the PSLE.

My girl attended the lesson at the Marine Parade branch. Teacher Nellie was very patient in highlighting the salient points of the grammar rules. She is clear in her instructions and delivery of the lesson. My girl had a wonderful and enriching experience.

Group 48 17 1

After graduating from the National Institute of Education (NIE), Ms Nellie taught in several secondary schools and three enrichment centres. She enjoys interacting and communicating with students from different age groups and nationalities.

As an educator, she believes that every child is unique and learns differently. As such, every classroom experience becomes an opportunity for reflection and spurs the teacher to find different ways to reach out to the child and establish a strong teacher-student relationship which helps to nurture the child holistically. During her free time, Ms Nellie also enjoys reading, watching movies and plays because there’s nothing like a piece of writing coming to life with moving pictures and sounds. A big fan of Dystopian novels and plays, she can always be seen at bookstores with her nose buried in her favourite books.

Ms Nellie has undergone our in-house Movers and Shakers Teacher Training Programme.

“Books are a uniquely portable magic.”
