Ms Nandy's Teacher Spotlight
What inspires you to teach?
Empowering young minds is a powerful job. I find satisfaction in teaching my students the power of words. No two students are the same and instead of measuring their achievements against the societal yardstick, I strive to help my students become better versions of themselves – not only academically but also on a holistic level. Nothing makes me happier than watching my students achieve good grades and grow more confident!
Why do you love teaching English?
Language experts claim that English has more words than any other language, and this means that there is always something new to learn about the language whether we are adults or children. Teaching English never feels mundane, and I love learning along with my students.
What do you do in your free time?
I love reading, and usually carry a book in my bag. I have also prioritised staying active, so you can find me in the spin cycling studio at least two to three times a week! Most importantly, I am also a full-time dog mama of two beautiful golden retrievers, and we spend a lot of time café hopping and swimming together. Spending time with my boys and family is important to me, and I always incorporate time for that no matter how busy I get!
