My child attended online classes with Ms Nuri since end of 2024 till and of PSLE. Ms Nuri is very patient and she explained very clearly the concepts in every lesson. Although there was only 1 student in the class in the beginning as it was a new class , she remained very dedicated and ensured that every minute of the class is well used. Despite being an online class, the class is kept small and every student will be given a chance to speak and given adequate attention. There is this Junior teacher where each child could teach the class for a short segment and this is very useful to ensure their understanding. LBM notes for synesthesia, oral, phrases are also well structured and easy to understand. My girl enjoys the class and has improved tremendously since joining LBM as she has managed to get good AL2 for her prelims. Thank you LBM and Ms Nuri!

Name of teacher: Ms Nuri (online classes) I enrolled my son for PSLE preparation with Lil' But Mighty (LBM). We were struggling with vague or minimalistic explanations for lost marks, both at school and in practice books. Without fail, Ms Nuri provided not only detailed explanations, but also encouragement. Additionally, the lesson materials and study guides provided by LBM are of exceptional quality, and the small class sizes provide every student with opportunities to participate. Very highly recommended, and thank you Ms Nuri!

My daughter Gaby enjoyed her online course with Teacher Nuri very much. Teacher Nuri is patient and she is always responsive to our queries. Though the course was conducted online, the teacher could give each child sufficient attention as the class size was small. Overall it was a good experience with Teacher Nuri and I would recommend the online course.

I want to thank Ms Nuri for teaching me and allowing me to clarify my doubts when I had any . I really appreciate the fact that she taught us all the techniques to answer comprehension and other components as well. I improved in comprehension by a lot . I used to get a single digit but now it has improved to 17/20 . I would promise to keep up the good work and not disappoint Ms Nuri when she requests for my AL score . Aiming for AL 2 !

My daughter had just signed up with LBM online classes and within a span of a few months she said she is clearer on SnT rules and Open ended comprehension sections. We look forward to her reaping her fruit of labour in her PSLE. Kudos to Ms Nuri for delivering the online class, engaging her students always.

Deciding to pursue teaching as a specialist, she then moved on to writing English lesson packages for an enrichment company and continued to teach in various schools as a freelance educator, specialising in creative writing and oral communication.

What is it like working at LBM?
Lil’ but Mighty is a warm and fun environment filled with kind and funny people. I love working here! As teachers, we get to learn a lot of new things and be involved in interesting projects, like making videos. Watch Ketchup on English on our YouTube channel, and you’ll know what I mean!

What inspires you to teach?
Great teachers inspire me to teach. I was fortunate enough to have had wonderful teachers in school who have made a difference in my life. I want to do the same for you! I believe education shapes the world we live in.

Why do you love teaching English?
I love reading and have an impossible dream of owning a library of one thousand books! So, you can imagine how deeply I have fallen in love with the English language as I read through the books I have! Mastery of language empowers you to build entire worlds from scratch and capture the attention of any audience. I want my students to have that power!

Teacher Nuri Story

What do you do in your free time?
Other than reading, I enjoy rock-climbing and making music. Every two weeks or so, my husband and I would go to the rock wall at Stadium and climb for hours. He’s much better at it than I am, though. Currently, I am working on producing a few songs to make my very first EP album. I’m not very talented in music, but who says you have to have talent to enjoy what you’re doing? I hope you find something you love and put your heart into it too!
