Ms Azmeera is an English Teacher at Lil’ But Mighty. She graduated with a degree in English Language and Literature from NTU. She’s particularly passionate about mythology, ancient history, and philosophy.
Ms Azmeera takes refuge in reading as it’s a means of escape and a stimulant that enhances one’s imagination. To her, disappearing into the different worlds and meeting characters purely invented by an artist’s mind is a magical moment. Language truly is vital to human connection.

What is it like working at LBM?
It has been a fruitful experience here at LBM. I have learnt a lot from my fellow colleagues and there’s a strong support system from the LBM family!
What inspires you to teach?
I believe the first spark that ignited my passion was my Literature teacher in Secondary School. She inspired me to read Literature and to teach. I would always look forward to her engaging lessons. Despite being rather reserved, I grew confidence and provided my input in class. My best friends would joke about how I ‘overanalysed’ and memorised the quotes as if it was my Bible! I aspire to ignite that spark in my students – that passion, that drive, that love for learning.
Why do you love teaching English?
I would like to make a positive impact in my students’ lives. By empowering them with simple yet effective concepts and skills, students will have a strong grasp of the language. This opens up doors. Students become confident communicators and they develop critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy reading especially historical fiction and magical realism. Aside from reading, I would unwind and binge-watch historical drama series related to the Ottoman Empire, Mongolian Empire, Ancient Rome, and the Vikings. They all seem to explore timeless human themes through engaging storytelling.
