What inspires you to teach?
What inspires me most is seeing students gain confidence and become more adept at answering questions. It is extremely rewarding to watch a student who was initially hesitant to read or write in English gradually become more willing to participate and express themselves. Knowing that I have played a part in their learning journey motivates me to keep growing as a teacher and to create lessons where every student can learn with confidence and enjoy the process.
Why do you love teaching English?
I love teaching English because being able to communicate confidently and effectively can open up many opportunities for students. In Singapore, English is not only crucial for academics but also for communication and self-expression. A strong grasp of the language helps students build confidence, which can form an important foundation for their future growth and success. I strive to make lessons engaging so that students develop a genuine interest in reading, writing and speaking.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy travelling and visiting different countries. It is always exhilarating to experience unique cultures and sample local delicacies. I also love spending time with my family! Hence, we frequently plan activities such as hiking or visiting a new attraction to create more precious memories together.
