Deciding to pursue teaching as a specialist, Ms Michelle moved from mentoring secondary students to teaching students of primary years in an international school. She enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge with her students.

Being a teacher, she believes that nurturing young learners would make a significant impact in the child’s growing development. Hence, fun learning is vital as this allows them to explore and probe questions that could help them understand the specific language better.
Having taught students from early years to secondary years in Malaysia and Singapore, Ms Michelle has vast experience with students of diverse background and different levels. Apart from that, she was involved in curriculum creation and created enrichment programmes as part of her job scope as well. She looks forward to broadening her horizon in different aspects of English education by joining Lil’ but Mighty.

What is it like working in LBM?
LBM is well grounded as I can always count on whenever I needed help. They are very benevolent and guided me throughout the entire process. The curriculum of each levels depicts precise details and ideas for the students which definitely makes it easier to perceive.
What inspires you to teach?
Teaching English has always been thrilling, challenging and rewarding at the same time. Back in the days, my teacher will always make the lesson entertaining with passion. With that said, I would want to constantly encourage the students and to help them grow. I would love to bring the best out of them and make them into an inspiring individual.
Why do you love teaching English?
I love teaching English because I would like to make a positive and enthusiastic impact on the student’s lives. I would not want to be the mundane teacher who only shares my knowledge instead I would like to encourage creativity within them where you bring their imagination out of the box. There is where students remember their teachers for an entire lifetime, long after school is over.
What do you do in your free time?
I love outdoor activities. During my free time, I usually workout or attend dance classes. I would head to Botanic Gardens for either a walk or run on the weekends. Apart from that, I’ve attended hip hop and girl’s dance classes. I would love to join the street jazz in the near future.
