What inspires you to teach?
My favourite teacher was my English teacher. Her ability to transport us into a completely different world with our imaginations has inspired me to be the teacher that I am today.
Why do you love teaching English?
The feeling of being able to completely lose myself in a book is one of my core memories as a child. I take pride in knowing that I am able to teach my students the ability to read and write well in English, in hopes that they too feel the joy that I felt when reading books as a child. Moreover, English is our common language, and I enjoy helping my students to find the right words to express themselves and share their culture.
What do you do in your free time?
My free time is spent with family and on activities with my close friends. Connecting with nature and travelling are very important to me. My favourite art medium is ceramics, specifically wheel throwing. Finding that balance between control and a gentle touch when creating pieces is therapeutic for me.
