Ms Audrey is an English teacher at Lil’ ‘but Mighty. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from National University of Singapore as a Psychology Major in 2022, she went on to receive a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in National Institute of Education before starting her teaching career.

What inspires you to teach?
What inspires me to teach is the unique connection I get to build with each of my students. For me, teaching isn’t just about the curriculum; it’s about creating a safe and supportive space where they feel comfortable exploring, making mistakes, and ultimately, growing into their best selves. Seeing them develop confidence, tackle challenges they once thought impossible, and discover their own voice in the process is incredibly rewarding. There’s immense joy in guiding them, not just through academics, but toward becoming independent thinkers and truly lifelong learners.
Why do you love teaching English?
My passion for teaching English stems from its creativity and versatility. I love teaching students how to harness the power of words to express themselves uniquely and to understand different perspectives. Watching them have that “aha!” moment – when clarity dawns and they feel enlightened – is incredibly fulfilling.
What do you do in your free time?
When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending quality time with my family, especially my daughter. We’re all about exploring new and interesting experiences together! There’s nothing quite like the excitement of discovering something new through her eyes, whether it’s a new cuisine, a different culture, or just a new playground!
