Ms Felicia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from National University of Singapore as a Linguistics Major in 2018 and went on to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Education in National Institute of Education in 2020.

She spent 4 years teaching in a secondary school, specialising in the revamped English 2020 Syllabus and inspiring students to fall in love with the subject. She enjoys discussing real-world issues in the classroom so that students are able to see how the language is applied in daily life.
In working with students, she believes that the first step is to build a genuine relationship with them and that goes beyond the textbooks. Every child is a seedling that wants to learn and grow, and with the right fertiliser (environment), every child will bloom.

What inspires you to teach?
No two teaching days are the same and every child comes with his or her own thoughts which makes it easy for me to stay inspired to teach! Teaching also comes with its own set of challenges, but the rewards at the end of it all trumps any obstacles that I may face. Most importantly, teaching is one of the few occupations that I get to learn and re-learn with the next generation!
Why do you love teaching English?
I believe in the importance of cultivating a love for the language in young minds, so that they can see the world from various perspectives, and be critical of the media they consume. Learning English also does not have to be dull!
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy indoor cycling, going at extremely high speeds, but going no where at the same time. I also love spending time with my friends, either enjoying good food or playing board games!
