Grammar Grandma Grand Slam 2024

If you are a P3 to P6 student, you likely participated in this year’s Grammar Grandma Grand Slam! Over 200 students engaged in our annual grammar competition, enjoying a wonderful blend of learning and fun. This marks the second year of our dynamic event, which aims to underscore the importance of strong grammar skills. We look forward to seeing you all again next year—who knows, you could be the next champion!

PSLE 2025 Curriculum Changes

A year of change awaits our next group of PSLE students, particularly regarding the English paper. However, there is no need to worry—we are prepared to navigate these adjustments with confidence, just as we successfully adapted during previous changes almost ten years ago! Our dedicated curriculum team has been diligently incorporating the PSLE 2025 changes into our curriculum throughout the year, ensuring that our students are well-equipped with the skills they need to excel. PSLE 2025, here we come!

O Level Graduates from our WordStruck Programme

We bid farewell to our first batch of O Level graduates! With a strong emphasis on consolidating their learning, refining strategies, and addressing common errors, our secondary curriculum team dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to preparing our Sec 4 students for their English papers. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and commitment demonstrated by both our team and our students.

Training and Mentorship

To ensure consistency and alignment across the Lil’ but Mighty classrooms, it is crucial that our teachers start the year with a unified vision and continue to progress together. In addition to being certified Movers and Shakers through our comprehensive training modules, our teachers benefit from regular professional development sessions. This year, the sessions have been designed to keep them informed about the latest updates in PSLE 2025 and to deepen their understanding of the diverse learners in their classrooms among other topics.

In our ongoing efforts to nurture our teachers, we are excited to introduce a mentorship programme that will facilitate intentional learning and collaboration among our educators. Together, we will learn more and teach better!

Lil’ but Mighty Turns 10!

Next year marks a significant milestone for Lil’ but Mighty as we celebrate our 10th anniversary! It has been a decade since we embarked on this journey alongside our students and teachers, and it has been nothing short of fulfilling. We are deeply grateful to all who have trusted us to nurture a love for English and grow alongside us. This is only the beginning, and we eagerly anticipate continuing to inspire, impact, and empower every lil’ one who walks through our doors.

Thank you for being an integral part of our community. I look forward to a year filled with hope, celebration, growth, and success!

Warm regards,
Lily Chew
