Oral (Stimulus-Based Conversation) Workshop

During the workshop, we will:

  1. familiarise our unique RASE strategy with the children
  2. clarify any doubts that your children have regarding the strategy
  3. have opportunity for your children to APPLY the RASE strategy in answering
  4. provide FEEDBACK to your children on their current strengths and weakness
  5. cover a range of questions of various topics and types to provide exposure to the children

The Write Recipe: GAME ON!

Set against the backdrop of a game, this creative writing workshop will:

  1. teach you to describe a setting vividly using your five senses
  2. introduce two ways of building up towards the climax of a story via characters and insertion of clues
  3. provide you with a framework (AIM) to create compelling characters
  4. aid you in adding details to the climax of a story
  5. show the transference and application of techniques in composition writing

P5/P6 Creative Writing Workshop

This course will be helpful if your child:

  1. likes a systematic approach towards writing
  2. is keen to revise essential writing techniques to apply during an examination
  3. Is seeking to develop his/her content efficiently and effectively
  4. Is looking for actionable feedback to polish up their writing before the PSLE
  5. wants to avoid common pitfalls during writing to avoid losing marks
  6. wants to better understand how to adapt from previous stories successfully for a new topic

PSLE Intensive Camp

  • An intensive PSLE drill-and-prac workshop for our P6 pupils.
  • The purpose of the workshop is to provide more practice and exposure to the various question types (including tricky question types) in each component.
  • Worksheets given will be accompanied by annotated answer key for more effective revision after the workshop.

During the workshop, we will:

1. Focus on essential strategies and popular question types commonly tested in PSLE (Grammar, Cloze Passage, Synthesis, Editing)
2. Guided practice for grammar, synthesis, editing and cloze passage
3. Annotated practice to set expectations and model application of strategies
4. Handy notes to consolidate learning

S3/4 Essential Guide to O-Level Comprehension

  1. Learn how to identify and approach essential question types commonly tested at the O Levels in Paper 2: Comprehension, including both Narrative and Non-Narrative question types.
  2. Complete a Narrative Comprehension Practice independently and receive on-the-spot feedback plus discussion regarding your answers.
  3. Complete a Non-Narrative Comprehension Practice independently  and receive on-the-spot feedback plus discussion regarding your answers.
  4. Complete a Guided Summary Practice with your teacher. Your teacher will model steps that you should take when completing summary writing during examinations.
