Try This Fun Language Game This Holiday!

Hi everyone, I am Ms Joei, and I am a teacher here at Lil’ but Mighty!
In my previous written post, I wrote about how playing games can help us strengthen our language and social skills. And since the holidays are coming up, what better way to occupy your time than to have fun with your friends and family while also doing something to improve your English? Here is one game you can play and it’s called: Taboo!
Playing this game can help you to improve your creative thinking because it requires you to try different ways of explaining the given word to your teammates as you try to avoid the taboo words, or when you need to understand and infer from their sentences while trying to guess what the given word is. Furthermore, it helps you to become more descriptive without using the same, old boring words. In the long run, this will help you when you are writing your compositions because you are able to use a wider range of vocabulary instead of having to rely on words that are too common or overused.
