What? “Awoke” is a strange word to use? Now this is waking me up. It is not wrong to use “awoke” here at all! Of course, I could have said “I woke up” which is more commonly used instead of “I awoke”. However, it is not wrong to use “I awoke” too. In fact, I can use “I awakened” as well! Getting confused? Let me clear up the confusion for you now!
